Convert a .pub file to PDF
PDF is the best way to keep a Publisher document: it opens everywhere, prints as is and will still be readable in twenty years. Pubora creates it right in your browser.
One file
- Open the home page and drop the .pub file.
- Check the page preview.
- Click Download PDF. It is saved to your Downloads folder under the same name.
A whole folder
- Select several files in “Choose files”, or drag a whole folder onto the page.
- Files are converted one after another; the list shows each one’s status.
- A ZIP with all the PDFs downloads at the end.
For archives of hundreds of files in a company or public body, see our archive migration service.
What the PDF contains
- Text stays text: you can select, copy and search it.
- Fonts are embedded: the PDF looks the same on every device.
- Shapes, gradients and pictures stay vector where possible, for sharp printing.
- The original page size (A4, A5, US Letter, landscape brochure…) is kept.
Before you print
Microsoft fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, Calibri, Cambria, Georgia…) are replaced by free fonts with the same metrics, so lines break in the same places. Rare decorative fonts are replaced by the closest one. Colors are exported as RGB, which suits office printers and most online print shops.
