Questions

Is it really free?

Yes: opening files, converting to PDF, PNG or text and converting whole folders is free, with no sign-up. The site is funded by its offer for organizations.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Reading and conversion happen in your browser. No file, file name or content ever reaches us.

Which Publisher versions work?

Files from Publisher 98 to Publisher for Microsoft 365. Some very recent or damaged files do not open yet: write to contact@pubora.app and we will look for a fix.

Does it look exactly like Publisher?

Very close. We use free fonts with the same metrics as common Microsoft fonts. Rare decorative fonts are replaced by the closest one; text may then be slightly reduced to fit its box.

Can I edit the document?

Not yet in Pubora. Export to PDF to print or share. Editing text and pictures is in the works.

How do I convert a whole folder?

Drag the folder (or a selection of files) onto the page. Files are converted one after another and you get a ZIP with all the PDFs.

Does it work on Mac, Chromebook or tablet?

Any recent browser works: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Nothing to install.
